heartless/brainless?

i knew about this sad and embarrassing news yesterday. an orangutan, which is a native rare primate from Borneo, Indonesia, was being burned by some local residents there. this orangutan suffered a severe scorch and fell from a coconut tree. 

he was nesting on the top of a coconut tree that was owned by a local resident. as a result, residents are worried with the thought of the coconut fruit would be eaten by the orangutan, and then they tried to shoo the animal with setting smoke for him. but somehow, a fire accidentally ignited by the owner of the tree, and set the orangutan on fire.

shortly, after the fire burns all over his body, this orangutan fell from a height and fainted. fortunately, many environmental organizations rushed to help and brought orangutan to be treated. reportedly orangutan can still be saved and will be cured. :'-)

i can't get it how people could be this rude to animals, especially rare animals such as orangutans. they should know that those animals who evacuates themselves from the woods to the settlement might be because of the woods isn't a save place for them anymore. as most of us know, some stupid people decided to chopped down the trees on forests for their selfish desire of money. even some of them burned the all of the forest sectors to changed it into a regency or a factory. they all do these kind of things for wealth. heartless/brainless? for me, they are both.

so why don't we take care of our precious variety of animals in Indonesia instead of bully them? this is one of our beautifulness, isn't it? next time the above incident happens to the others, find the MUCH BETTER AND HUMAN WAY to handle them. animals won't hurt us if we don't bother them and their habitat too.
