Distinctive
I’ve known you for years
You’ve known me for years too, but maybe only by the stories
I told you and parts of me I would like you to know
I wanted to impress you yet I failed miserably. Wanted you
to see me the way I saw you yet I could not, because you simply never picture
me anything more than what I am to you
As people come and go, nobody, nobody ever left the similar remark
as you did
And just for now, let me revisit six years and five
months ago where I stared at you in the dim lights and I thought to myself how
younger you look when you were asleep
I’ve put you on the pedestal for years,
Now you're not there anymore.
